The Bristol Home Birth Group is a space that welcomes anyone exploring or planning a homebirth, including those making preparations for labouring at home before hospital. It is a supportive space to connect with others who have an interest in or an experience of homebirth.

We are an inclusive space. We welcome everybody.

The group is run by a network of volunteers, midwives, birth professionals and birthing parents. Together we share a passion to support people to birth where they feel most comfortable.

During the sessions you can expect:

  • Discover evidence-based information and dispel myths

  • Find out about local resources and information

  • Gather practical information to support labour/birth at home

  • Support to navigate decisions and know your options

  • Make connections with other families in your area

  • Hear birth stories

  • Discussion around monthly themes related to homebirth

  • A space to ask questions

Meetings are held once a month in Bristol.
